Our client, a prominent entity in its sector, is seeking a highly competent Senior Corporate Accountant to enhance their finance team in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, IN . This integral role will focus on ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, managing month - end and year - end closing processes, and supporting statutory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles GAAP/IFRS , experience with financial reporting, and proficiency in accounting software. You will play a key role in financial analysis, budget variance analysis, and process improvements within the accounting function. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Experience with ERP systems and a commitment to continuous improvement are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities: Manage and execute the month - end and year - end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with accounting standards. Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and perform variance analysis throughout the year. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and statutory requirements. Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function and implement best practices. Assist in the development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures. Manage fixed asset accounting and related depreciation schedules. Provide support for financial planning and analysis FP A activities. Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting. Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional certification like CA Chartered Accountant , CMA, or CPA is highly preferred. Minimum of 4 - 6 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, with a strong emphasis on financial reporting. In - depth knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards Ind AS and/or IFRS is essential. Proven experience with month - end and year - end closing procedures. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally . Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and analysis. Excellent analytical, problem - solving, and organizational skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Experience working within the fiscal environment of Bhubaneswar, Odisha, IN is an asset.
