Responsibilities: Lead the structural design process for various construction projects, from initial concept to final drawings and specifications. Perform structural analysis and calculations using advanced engineering software e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000 . Develop detailed structural drawings, plans, and reports in compliance with building codes and industry standards e.g., IS codes . Collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural designs seamlessly. Review shop drawings and construction submittals to ensure adherence to design intent. Conduct site visits and investigations as needed though primarily remote, occasional site travel may be required . Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior structural engineers. Identify and resolve structural design challenges and issues during the design and construction phases. Ensure designs meet all safety, performance, and regulatory requirements. Stay current with advancements in structural engineering principles, materials, and construction techniques. Contribute to value engineering efforts to optimize design and construction costs without compromising safety. Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and tender documents. Maintain accurate project records and documentation. Participate in project meetings and present design solutions to clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering. A Masters degree in Structural Engineering is highly preferred. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in structural design engineering for building and infrastructure projects. Proven expertise in structural analysis and design of concrete and steel structures. Proficiency in industry - standard structural analysis software. In - depth knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations. Strong understanding of construction materials and methods. Excellent analytical, problem - solving, and decision - making skills. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively. Experience in seismic design is a significant advantage. Professional Engineer PE license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
