Responsibilities: - Curriculum Development: - Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum that aligns with state and national standards. - Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cover music theory, history, composition, and performance techniques. - Integrate technology and multimedia resources to enhance music instruction and student learning. - Instrumental/Vocal Instruction: - Teach students to play various musical instruments or develop their vocal skills, depending on expertise and school requirements. - Provide individual and group lessons to students at different skill levels, from beginners to advanced. - Foster a supportive and encouraging environment that promotes musical growth and self - confidence. - Ensemble Direction: - Direct and conduct school bands, choirs, orchestras, or other musical ensembles. - Prepare students for performances, concerts, competitions, and other musical events. - Rehearse repertoire, coordinate schedules, and ensure all ensemble members are adequately prepared. - Assessment and Evaluation: - Assess student progress through performance evaluations, exams, projects, and other assessments. - Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their musical skills and understanding. - Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance assessments. - Community Engagement: - Collaborate with school administrators, parents, and community organizations to promote music education and participation in school music programs. - Organize and participate in musical performances, concerts, recitals, and community outreach events. - Encourage students to participate in extracurricular music activities and competitions. - Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or a related field required ; Masters degree preferred. - State teaching certification or licensure in music education required . - Demonstrated proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments and/or vocal performance. - Previous teaching experience in a school or private lesson setting preferred . - Knowledge of music theory, history, pedagogy, and instructional methods. - Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to inspire and motivate students to excel in music and develop a lifelong appreciation for the arts. Pay: 20,000.00 - 25,000.00 per month -
